1. Introduction
Pin to Pro ("we," "us," or "our") operates a lead referral marketplace connecting home improvement professionals, sales agents, and vendors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our website, mobile application, and services (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
Information you provide directly:
- Homeowners: Name, email address, phone number, property address, and service preferences when you opt-in to be connected with a service professional.
- Sales Agents: Name, email, phone number, and the product you knock for when you apply to join our network. If you earn a balance and request a payout, we then collect W-9 tax information (SSN/EIN, tax classification, and address) in order to report and pay your earnings.
- Vendors: Company name, contact information, your role at the company, service categories, service areas, Google Business Profile URL, and website when you apply to join our network.
- Account information: Email, password, and profile details when you create an account.
Information collected automatically:
- Device information (IP address, browser type, operating system)
- Location data (with your consent, for proximity-based vendor matching and field map features)
- Usage data (pages visited, features used, interaction logs)
- Signup IP address (for fraud prevention and rate limiting)
3. How We Use Your Information

- To process applications and approve sales agents and vendors for our network
- To manage referral programs, track referrals, and calculate commission and affiliate earnings
- To process payments via Stripe Connect and issue payouts to sales agents and referrers
- To send opt-in emails to homeowners on behalf of sales agents, with homeowner consent
- To send check-in surveys to homeowners to verify service quality and detect fraud
- To communicate with you about your account, leads, payments, and platform updates
- To enforce our Terms & Conditions and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
- To comply with legal obligations, including W-9 tax form requirements
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
- Between users: When a homeowner opts in, their name and contact information are shared with the matched vendor and the referring sales agent. Vendor information (company name, rating, contact details) is shared with homeowners during the opt-in process.
- Stripe: Payment and payout information is processed through Stripe Connect for sales agent commissions, affiliate bonuses, and vendor referral payouts. Stripe's Privacy Policy applies to payment data.
- Google Maps API: Used for vendor discovery, geolocation, and address verification. Google's Privacy Policy applies to map and location data.
- Twilio: Used to send SMS check-in surveys to homeowners who provide a phone number. Twilio's Privacy Policy applies to SMS data.
- Service providers: Third parties that help us operate the Service (hosting, analytics, email delivery) under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- Legal compliance: When required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and safety.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Tax records (W-9 information) are retained as required by IRS regulations (typically 4 years). Lead records and payout history are retained for the duration of the referral earning window (12 months) and for accounting/audit purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the Profile page, subject to legal retention requirements.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted token-based authentication, HMAC-signed links, role-based access controls, rate limiting, and disposable email blocking. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe and is never stored on our servers. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
